Golden Post

Hooray! This is my 50th Blogger entry which is a special event that I wish to recognize in this post. I'd like to thank all of my blog readers who are dedicated to reading, commenting, and telling others about my fascinating and intriguing website that I have running here. I'd also like to thank Google, and their subsidary, Blogger, for helping me reach this new level of achievement. And last but not least I would like to thank my computer, the Compaq Presario 500 Mhz with Intel Celeron processing capabilities. This slow-but-sure setup is my most imperitave tool in maintaining and checking my blog. Again, I am deeply gratified for this event of a lifetime in which my readers and I share.

OK, now that that is over with, I can get to talking about what happened over Thanksgiving Break. It was both good and bad, but mostly filled with stuffing. Alrighty then, starting with Wednesday, I will overview (almost) everything that happened:

Wednesday:
  • In the morning we got to play online games in ITM; Mr. LaVictor was the teacher who let us do this. 2nd Hour I took a test and a quiz in Am. Lit. 3rd Hour we watched a movie about a jazz band all hour in room 128 because the blood drive was in the band room. 4th Hour is always the killer; Mr. Richards explained properties of the Periodic Table all hour, almost unbearable. 5th Hour- I took the Chapter 9 Test out in the hall all hour, did not finish. 6th Hour- Took an open-note test almost all hour. 7th Hour- Had to work for the blood drive for student council, I sat at the table and assisted people in filling out the forms, later ate some cookies and attempted to drink Vegetable Juice, it did not go well. Returned to 7th Hour Public Address, Ms. Lakanen yelled at me quite a lot for not telling her where I was. Was not my fault. After school I ran 2 miles because the JC/WHS Invitational was called off, and I did not lift because the weight room was closed. I came home and reviewed the weather to see if we should leave for Escanaba that night or leave in the morning. We decided it would be safest to leave that night. Could not participate in the poker tournament at Matt's house. Mildly dissapointed. We got to my Grandma Carlson's house and not much happened. That concluded the day.
Thursday (Thanksgiving)
  • Woke up after not getting much sleep. We left for my Grandma Englund's house at around 10:00. I picked up a Monster energy drink at the corner gas station and it tasted strange. It's effects did not seem overly profound. When we got there we ate and watched football. The food tasted pretty much the same as all the other years. I did not eat as much as I did last year. After a few hours we headed to my other Grandma and Granpa's house. We ate supper there, which was all the same foods that I had a mere 3 hours earlier. I managed to eat a fair amount of food, which is a great feat. We stayed there until about 9:00 then left to sleep at my other Grandma's house because we had to get up at 5:00 in the morning for the day-after-Thanksgiving sales. My Grandma Carlson was mad that we were going so early and claimed that normal people like her don't do that, and wanted to eat breakfast with us at 10:00, which would be 5 hours after we got up. The shopping went good, I got my Christmas present at Wal-Mart, which is the Kodak Z760 EasyShare with was $100 off and came with a docking station. Me and my brother and cousin walked around in the Delta Plaza mall and I got a Mocha at Rapaportz and we headed to various stores. At Menards the lines went from one end of the store to the other end, and it was extremely hard to navigate throughout the store. We also went to ShopKo and K-Mart. We ate breakfast at about 8 at McDonalds and I got a Deluxe Big Breakfast. After that we went to my Grandma Carlson's house. When we got there a big fight erupted but I will not disclose any names, but I will say it did not involve me directly and it was verbal.
I need to go and I will continue this tomorrow.
