Running tomorrow with langnesses at 9:30. played tennis with dan nelson today. very hot. he is over my house right now using my computer. tuesday is the firecracker 5-mile race in gladstone. my time to get is 36 minutes. cannot run any slower than that.

I went running today for the first time since the YMCA 5k race in April. Me, Jon, and Jeremy Langness ran a 4-mile course. The temperature was somewhat very hot.

So I went to dave halverson's house at 4 for his birthday party but found out it has been rescheduled to tomorrow at 4 due to rain. This was kind of bad because it interupted my landscaping work in marquette because I had to come all the way back home, so I lost about 2 hours of work which would have amounted to about $40. btw, MySpace's blogging service is poor so I'm not going to use it.

Endeavors

I haven't started training for cross-country yet!! And I have the 5-mile Firecracker race in gladstone on the 4th coming up. According to Kirk they are going to start running every Wednesday probably at Al Qual. I'm also going to start running with Jon once he gets back from the mission trip in Mexico.

I've also been making minute progress on my studies of the Spanish language through the use of Cliffs Notes Spanish I and Talk Now! Spanish for PC.

So far my customer volume for lawn-care has increase 0% over the past three weeks. I'm beginning to feel that people around here really enjoy doing it themsleves and just have no need for me and my skills in the art of greenskeeping. speaking of greenskeeping I have to patch a million patches of dirt in my yard becuase the lawn for some reason wants to form little circles of empty spots everywhere. good thing i'm armed with Scott's PatchMaster.

onto sports; the Heat took the championship which I'm happy for because I don't necessarily like the Mavs all that much. and stanley cup.. wait I don't even watch hockey so it doesn't even matter haha. ummm Wimbledon coming up on June 26! and my prediction for the World Cup is Brazil will again win it all.

So here's just a schedule of my upcoming tennis tournaments:

• July 8,9 - Upper Peninsula Junior Open, Kingsford MI. I'm doing singles, also doubles if i can find a partner. Never did this tournament before, I'm sure this will be the toughest of them all by far.If I can get a good drawand get past my first two opponents then maybe I won't do so bad.
  
• July 15,16 - Mickey Johnson Junior Open, Marquette MI. Doing singles, but also doubles if I can find a partner for this, probably Dan Nelson if he can do the tournament. Last year I played with Dan Stam who now goes to MTU, we lost to i'm pretty sure Marquette's Brett Girard and whoeer his partner was. For singles I won my first match against a kid from Marquette but lost to a rediculously good kid on my second match.
  
• August - Westwood Junior Open, Westwood High School. This tournament is singles and mixed doubles, my partner is Jessica Holli. Last year I took second in the singles tournament because there were just three people in it; me, kent hay, and dan nelson. I really do hope there will be at least four people in it this year. for the doubles tournament, me and danielle holsworth took second place to chris dix and lindsay sandberg.
