Mythbusters at Michigan Tech
Yesterday I went to Houghton for the day for the MTU Open House. There wasn't much to do there except for the Parade of Nations which was pretty cool. There was an all-black marching band called Second-2-None which was really good, because they synced african dancing with regular marching instruments and did crazy stuff like lying on the ground and playing. There wasn't too much too see at the Open House portion because it was mostly booths and some stuff set up in classrooms in the different buildings. I seen Steve and his dad there, and also Racheal Brooks and James. Most of the stuff that was there won't interest me until next year or the year after.
The highlight of the day was seeing the Mythbusters (Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman) at MTU's Rozsa Center, which can seat over 1,100. When we got there at 7:00 p.m., we were waiting in the lobby area when Adam walked out of a door and went upstairs to where they were eating. Just hearing their voice overhead was surreal. We managed to get good seats, and in the first part they were asked some questions which lasted a long time. Then they played a video of all of the things that the Discovery Channel can't show, which was really funny. And last they busted a mini-myth involving beer (obviously, considering the college atmosphere). Afterword we rushed out to the table in the lobby to get autographs, and we ended up being first in line. I got an autograph (shown below), and a picture with them (shown above).
We also did some exploring in Hancock at the bottom of the hill where the Quincy Mine trolley goes down for tours. We found a giant chunk of copper on the ground and some other interesting rocks.

When will the Madness End?!
Hiroshi Tau, my massively popular non-japanese real action figure anime series will begin again tomorrow, with even more suspenseful occurences. Is Hiroshi and Tau's mother really an ent, and if she is, how were they born!?!? These and other questions will be answered in the episodes to come. Be sure to bookmark this site, or at least write the URL down, because if someone were to be away from their own computer when a new episode appears on this site, they could miss valuable occurences in the thrilling storyline.

22:32...
Hey everyone, I haven't really been posting at all lately. However, when my blog starts to get boring, visit another one, like KC's Ultimate Blog, or Salv's Big Bad Blog. They are both very interesting. As for me, here are some of the stuff that has happened in the past week:
On Monday we had to feed the teachers of Apen Ridge and WHS breakfast and lunc, but I only did breakfast. All we served them was donuts, muffins, and cookies from Jubilee. Pretty much all I had to do was stand beside the table and greet the teachers or at least look like I was happy to be there even though it was 8:00 in the morning. Tuesday was the first day of school, it went very well. Thursday was our second meet for Cross Country, but the first one for me. It was a regular 5k race, and I'm on JV so we started first. The second 2 miles I had a bad cramp in my side and pretty much was dying the whole time. Anyways my time was 22:35, place was 34/80, and Westwood took second overall, behind Marquette of course, but their a Division 2 school. There were a lot of schools there and so we did very well. We also took first for Mid-Pen.
Next Tuesday we have another meet at Presque Isle, and I'm hoping to do a lot better.
